The Annual Klondike has come!

The following event took place Saturday January 22, 2011.

The annual Boy Scout Winter Klondike has come.  Every January the district gets together, more than one district came this year.  About 13 Troops came to bear the cold and join in the events.  Boyscouts has been a part of my life since I was little.  Starting out as a little tiger cub i worked up form cub to Boyscouts.  I made Eagle in 1999.  I worked up the ranks as well as through the troop.  Running it my last couple years as Senior Patrol Leader.  Scouts has taught me so much over the years.  Leadership, camping in the wilderness, being a team player, working together and just overall being a better person and always helping out the community.  I have been staffing the Klondike since i was in my later years of Boyscouts, well over 13 years.

I run the speed ball event.  Kids come and throw a tennis ball.  I record their fast and slowest speeds.  Then we take the difference and that patrol wins.  We also have a trophy for the fastest pitch.  This year we did up to 14yrs of age and 14 and older.  I always have a blast, my brother does the branding event, and other leaders we grew up with are there running events to.  My dad and Mr. Marone usually walk around and make sure everything is running smoothly.  Mr. Rothfuss another leader we grew up with ran the flag retiring event.  Kids saw how to retire an old american flag.

The day was really cold!  I mean i froze my but off an i had lots of layers on!!!  But we had so much fun.  At the end we have a great sled race and everyone just has so much fun.  We took a break around 12 for lunch.  My dad made his famous chili.  Mrs Marone and my Mom came up to join us.  After words we cleaned up and I was off to Lowe's for work.  Sunday I work up early and went to work.  I was so tired, i worked from 8-5 and i couldn't wait to get the heck outta there.  I did some shopping and got some gas for the jeep.  Then home to clean up and a little TV.  Then off to bed.  Well enjoy the pics everyone!

Saturday Morning, we had a lot of kids!

The following blog is for weekend of the 14th, 15th and 16th of January.

I picked up Quinn Friday and we had a quick stop to make.  We gassed up the Jeep then went to Wegman's.  We did some small shopping and then went home for some TV and bed.  She did really well at the store she even helped me unload the cart!  Sorry no pictures.

Saturday we got up and had some breakfast.  We were off to The Sandbox then!  It's a play gym for kids of all ages.  I haven't been yet and we had so much fun.  The gym as all different toys and different jumping and climbing activities.  There were a lot of kids of all different ages and Quinn did so well.  She played very nicely with everyone.

Happy New Year!

Following post is for Dec 31st, Jan 1st and 2nd.

Friday was good I had the day off!!  I spend the day getting things done some small shopping and stuff done.  I also tried to sleep in but you know how that goes.  I did get to Lowe's and catch up with friends and managers.  I start back part time on Monday Jan. 3rd.  That should be fun...

Later I got cleaned up and went to get my brother.  Every year for a very long time I've taken him out for dinner.  We go to Royal Dynasty.  It's a lot of fun.  We started it a long time ago and I always love getting dressed up and just having some time with my brother.

After we stopped by my parents to say hello.  After dinner we usually go some place him and I to say hello.  I spend the night in because I had Quinn that weekend so I had to get up early and get ready.  We had such a good weekend.  We played and went to the park.    Nothing was really open so we just kinda hung in and watched some TV.

On Sunday we went to church.  She really enjoys going, uncle ken joined us and she sits very quiet next to daddy.  After church we were back to home for lunch and a nap.  We visited my parents a little later that day then back to Brooke's at night.  It was a good weekend.  She loves to play hide and seek and run through the house.  As you can see from the pictures below!

She couldn't wait to get to the park!

She loves the swing

She loves playing on her computer

We had some lunch!
