Tuesday's Tip: Get a Boat.

So over the weekend I saw the movie Noah, the new one that came out and it wasn't bad.  Didn't get the best reviews and it was a darker side to the bible story we were all told at one point in our lives.  It was interesting to see how movies now have a darker side that could have been except we usually put a very nice glow on everything.  Later that night the MTV Awards came on and I realized maybe it is time to look for a boat.  After seeing how we live and treat this planet I can't help but wonder when the next disaster is.  I see people addicted to their technology, fame and wealth.  People posting things for other to view just to make money or a laugh.  Movies intended to make a new generation laugh with dumb humor or bad story lines.

I know there is still good out there I just wonder after seeing a movie were the world was cleansed because of what man kind has done, then looking outside and seeing a world like ours.  There is still good I know.  Many people out there helping others, trying to make this world a better place but is that enough to cover up the pollution or greed.  I was driving home one day and saw a guy waiting for the bus, as I drove by he finished his drink and just threw the container behind him.  Sad to see how we treat the world that we call home.  How much longer will it last till our lands and sea's are unfixable.  I think we just don't care because it will affect other generations not us.  Sometimes I feel the world is beyond repair.  I feel there is just to much pollution and the world needs us rid so it can heal.  Man however just pushes on, we build more and more machines.

We have had bad storms take many lives and the earth is always changing.  Will something big come?  Probably the Earth won't be around forever, new stars and planets are born as others die.  I hope as we age we see what we have done and if we have to move on treat a new home better than what we did.  Is it fixable?  Probably but the people working to fix I just feel are out numbered by the ones destroying...

What would we do if the world finally gave, if it came down to the end most would probably pray. Are we to late is the question.  Does there need to be another great flood or will we just simply destroy each other...

In the mean time do what you can to help out and keep our world a good place to be.  Remember we only have one...

Always remember,
You are Never alone...

The weekend Update

This weekend is over and thus our long vacation.  Well we worked this past week but as I will explain later Connor Kalya's younger brother came home with us.  So we extended it a little and that is why the post have been slower.  This past weekend Kayla's Dad and other younger brother Andrew came up to pick up Connor.   It was nice to spend time with all of them and have some dinners and hang out.  Quinn loves her family and she gets along with them so well.  Saturday they arrived and we got some lunch, then headed out to the mall to get some things for her brothers.

After we hung and talked, my Mom stopped over to even say hello our friends Matt and Becky as well.  We got some dinner and just hung out.  We watched some TV, payed some Wii and had fun.  Connor, Quinn and I played some board games.  We haven't played in a while and like posted about before her games help her count and work on skills she actually use.

Sunday we headed to breakfast and then said goodbye to Kayla's family as they went home.  Kayla and I cleaned up the whole house and played with Quinn.  We watched some TV, went to the playground and just chilled.  I will admit it got difficult because Quinn wanted to just have us push her on the swing.  We have been showing her how to pump her legs but I feel she just wants the easy way. As she gets older I tell her she has to start doing things her self.  We got home and had some dinner then it was off home to her Mom's.  Over all it was a great weekend and now we have some time apart.  I have her mid week but then next week it is my week off.  So as we get ready for fall I will work hard to update my blog and get some post done.

Enjoy the pics!

No Words can show love...

Today both Kayla and I had a bad day.  It was just busy, long and long...  I said it twice I know.  The past few days Quinn's Mom and I have been trying to work together on some things and it wasn't the best of weeks.  Then I came home to this...

Sometimes it is darkest before the dawn...  A cute card, flowers and a nice book.  I have never been given flowers before.  Kay is so amazing just when I got upstairs I was just so happy to see that someone loves me that much to think about me.  It melted all the anger, stress and everything going on right away.  It also helps the weekend is here and I can't wait to relax with Kay.  Some small things like this show you that there is more to life than getting mad at things out of my control...  I have someone that loves you so much.  I love you babes, thanks for the amazing gifts!!!

Always remember...

You are never alone.

Where does your $100 stand?

Today on Yahoo there was an article about how far $100 would go in every state.  Below is a map.  As I looked over the article it explained how southern and mid west states have the biggest edge.  As you look at the maps below see where you live and stand.  Think about other states and how if you moved it could effect your life.  You do have to remember states that have higher taxes usually pay more, "usually."  Not paying employees their value is something most companies love to share...

Here is an insert from the article.

"It’s no surprise that the states where people earn more tend to have higher prices for goods, services, and housing. High income-tax rates can also limit the the purchasing power of workers, depending on the state they live in. The state income tax rate in Kentucky is among the lowest in the nation at 6%. Comparatively, in Washington, D.C., the income tax rate is 8.95%. In part due to lower income taxes, a hundred-dollar bill in Kentucky is worth 33% more than it is in D.C. Someone earning $40,000 in Kentucky would need to earn at least $53,000 in Washington, D.C. just to maintain the same standard of living.
Now you can see why retirees so often choose their retirement destination based on tax rates. When you're on a fixed income, the cost of living in your state can make or break your nest egg."

Without even looking I knew NY, CA and DC would be the top few.  Yes I was right.  DC is because well we have to pay all those hard working corrupt gov't officials.  It's not cheap writing everything off on taxpayers and screwing over America!  CA because well its CA, and NY because I think we just want to follow CA without all the beaches and nice weather.  NY has and always be one of the most expensive states to live in.  I still don't know why when others around us are clearly not.  Maybe if we moved NYC to PA or NJ then NY would have a better shot?  All I know is there are a few kinds of New Yorkers for the working world.

1) The person who is rich and doesn't look down at the rest of us.
2) The middle class group that probably works more than one job or has multi incomes and tries to keep above the water.
3) Lower class people that are working as hard as they can but can't find work or work to much to get a better job or education.
4) The Lazy Ass's.  These are people abusing state aid and look poor, but usually have a smart phone, do drugs have 8+ kids, and like the Rich think they are better than everyone.

As you can see below again CA, NY and DC get screwed yet again.  I have a buddy that lives in NC I think he knows what he's doing.....  Great Rates, pretty much perfect weather...  Yup if everyone in the country saw this post I think we would all try to move, at least out of a few area's...

Weather this gets through or not the states will always be the same.  I live in NY and I love the state in general but we are just taxed to death.  I love when my dad tells someone down south what his taxes are to the size of his home.  Then that person says how his house is twice the size and the taxes are half.  Makes me laugh...

I love NY... Just not the taxes...

Cooling off in the Summer's Heat!

So I took some time off to just enjoy life and not live behind my computer, I slowed down taking pictures and just enjoyed my summer.  I do have a lot to catch up on and I will finally start!  A few weekends ago we went over to my friends parents house and cooled off in the pool!  We packed up some snacks and drinks and headed over.  We even met some friends and just hung out.  My parents came over later and we honestly just had a great day.  I can't have a blog without a summer pool post!

Quinn has been doing so well with her swimming, she is swimming and jumping in without help!  I'm so glad she loves the water and know as she gets older she will be an amazing swimmer.

Enjoy the pics!
I can't wait to update you!

Happy Birthday Kayla!

This past friday was Kayla's birthday!  We took this past week off to have a little vacation, I can't wait to post about it!  The week was amazing but we also got to celebrate Kayla's birthday.  Friday we hung out and just relaxed.  I got her a few gifts throughout the week and Quinn gave her a card and present Friday morning.  That night we cooked some steaks up and had a nice dinner.  I wanted to just tell her Happy Birthday!  I know birthday week is over  but I love you so much and I know Quinn does too!

A mid week break

Hello all!  I know it's been a few days and I am so many adventures and post behind.  The middle of the summer has just been so busy and we had some camera trouble so that sucked.  However with Quinn growing up and getting so independent I feel I have to battle her more and more.  I do have to set some time aside to just blog and update you all on my summer, and I will promise.

I was just relaxing tonight when Quinn came downstairs crying that she missed her Mom.  It's hard to deal with sometimes because she sees here mom so much and being her Mom is a teacher and off the summers I feel sad because yes she does miss her but she just saw her a whole week.  I told her as we walked up to bed again that she just saw her and she will see her tomorrow but it doesn't make it easy when I miss her so much.

I kissed her and told her it was going to be okay, she will fall asleep and tomorrow be back.  I was reading my friends blog about how her child ask were her Dad is because he doesn't come around and felt so bad because there are Fathers like me that would love to see their child more but with a controlling Ex it just can't happen.  Makes wanting more children hard I guess...

I will make sure to update you all soon!

Always remember,
You are never alone...
