A Perfect End to a Hot Summer

It's that time again!! The Mikalojko's are coming to town!  Like my Last Year's Post It was a great end to, well this time a hot summer.  Jim and his sister Marisa came into town around the beginning of August.  Rob and his new bride couldn't make it out this year.  I was excited because Jim brought his girlfriend Megan home with him.  It was a blast I always look forward to them coming home for the week and I was waiting all year for it!

We got some news one of our other best friends Paul moved home, he came across some tough times and is coming home for a while.  In the beginning of the week I had to work and I ended up catching up with him mid week.  We had dinner and I took off Thursday all day to spend time with them.  At the end of the week we went to their cottage and spend time on the boat and just relaxed with some good food.  It was good to have two of my closest friends in town together.  Thursday we hung out and just relaxed.  We had lunch, ice cream and ended up helping Paul move some stuff downstairs in his new apt, well the rents basement...  Friday I worked and then got the munch and we headed over to Jims for dinner.  After we went down to Charlotte beach with everyone for ice cream and a walk down by the lake!

Saturday Quinn and I hung out at the house and then we went to Jim's cottage for a day at the bay.  We got settled and then had lunch.  It was great that there were lots of other kids there.  Including Nora, Steve's daughter.  Jim's oldest brother.  We then went for a boat ride and got to just enjoy the beautiful sunset.  Later we went to home and relaxed.  We didn't stay to late this year it was very windy and Jim had to drive home the next day as well.

I said goodbye to Marisa, Jim and Megan and we were off.  It was so good to see him again this year and always sad to see him go.

The next day we went over to Paul's house for dinner!  It was so good to have some one on one time with them because Paul's parents haven't seen Quinn in so long.  Quinn got to play with Paul's neighboor's little daughter and they got along so well.  She actually had a power wheels and the girls drove it around.  Watching Quinn drive was just to funny.  I guess I got my work cut out for me when she's 16!  We had a wonderful dinner and just got to relax after.  Pauls parents just loved her.

The weekend was a blast and I am sorry I am behind on my post!  The summer has been so hot this year and blogging has been difficult.  I haven't always been the best summer blogger.  Once the fall hits, which is soon I will be posting more.  We still have a lot to do and the year is far from over!!

Enjoy the pics!!
